Mission Fiesta's Projects Are NOW Ready to OFFICIALLY Launch!

Need a boost right now. Have just a number of days, until December 31 to raise $300.00.

I know that in the natural way of looking at things, this is the worst time of year to ask, but many of us can testify what God can do!

See BELOW THE COUNTDOWN CLOCK for WHAT this is all ABOUT, and WHY exactly $300.00 is needed BY DECEMBER 31ST!

If I could I would finance it myself, however I'm now in Tampa Bay, Florida making exactly half the money I was at one time making in Mountain View, California and don't have $300 for this.

Besides that, I want to know people think what I am doing and have been working on up until now are worthy ventures.

ONLY $300.00...

Big time companies & non-profits can do this in a heartbeat, but it's not so easy for the 'start-up.' Ask your friends who either work for one, or who have launched one themselves!

A friend, who I have worked with on various projects over the years was getting ready to shut down her non-profit, but will keep it open for an additional year for my use for fundraising for projects and outreach - IF I can raise $300.00 by December 31. earI will have a year then to set up my own 501(c)(3) or 501(c) --This challenge was just presented last weekend -- and after consideration, I'm moving forward. I make nearly the same money as I made in 1996 in CA and so don't have an extra $300 laying around to 'show the money.'

Can you help? MORE DETAILS

What's Mission Fiesta?

MISSION FIESTA is a variety of projects that are geared towards the service of local, national and international communities, all of which are rooted in the Judeo-Christian spiritual tradition, most of which are somehow ministry oriented, whether traditional or non-traditional in nature.

Ongoing:

Will be continuing to develop the networking aspect of  The Justice Network, both nationally and locally as well as through social media.  The goal is to engage people with their LOCAL communities and serve those Jesus would serve -- that is, everyone -- but to never forget the poor, the lost, the sick, imprisoned and lonely.

Planned for January 2014-- the exact date to be announced.

Mission Fiesta House - 'an art and prayer event' is the first event planned under the 'new name' MISSION FIESTA.  It gets it's inspiration from the England-born 24/7 Movement and the IHOP movement, incorporating elements of each   Here's the background and a description (YouTube video.)  We maybe have found a 'space' to host the event, Onething, a place where different groups, churches and ministries meet.  I just started dialogue via a phone call yesterday, actually just re-introducing myself as I used to hang out there a lot in the prayer rooms there where you can just 'soak' in God's presence with worship music in the background.  It was only after getting off the phone that I realized this may be the perfect place for this long postponed 'first event.'

So here's what art and prayer and mission look like:

_______________

Why I am finally asking for help with these projects:

Previously, I have either actually executed these projects or ministry endeavors with some success, or  attempted these projects only accomplishing the slightest impact intended as I was reticent about asking for either financial or practical assistance.  And since this is an independent 'start-up,' I there's no Big Brother church or ministry officially sanctioning this, although I am personally accountable to a core group of men at the Bible study I attend, as well as to my local church.

(When I actually file for the 501(c) or 501(c3), there will be further accountability via  a board.)

*The following, although not directly related, does bear some weight into my decision to follow God's lead and launch into official 'ministry,' however non-traditional. *

(I learned in the past that 'non-profit' does not mean, 'no money involved'.  I had previously given my creative talents requesting no financial compensation, including writing the original SANDMAN stage play for a church.  It is now still being produced by others for nearly two decadesalthough This play continues creating opportunities for those using it and has  major elements of the original play in spite of my writing it at no cost.  I plan on reviving him at some point.  )

About Me

Foremost a child of God seeking to follow in the footsteps of Jesus.

Also, a communicator in a variety of venues- published playwright, public speaker, workshop coordinator and retreat host, former technical recruiter, and public relations writer for a Fortune-500 company.

As I've grown as a world citizen, as a committed Christian, as a man, and just as a human being, I have chosen to 'stay awake' in the midst of -- in the words of Charles Dickens -- "the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness..."  (A Tale of Two Cities)

We all live there somewhere between the light and the dark and as I have progressively and more intently chosen the light over the darkness, Jesus' presence in the person of the Holy Spirit and I'm sure many, many angels have led me to the 'missions' which I have increasingly come to see as my learning to be 'Jesus with skin on' through words, writing and images.
