As I've grown as a world citizen, as a committed Christian, as a man, and just as a human being, I have chosen to 'stay awake' in the midst of -- in the words of Charles Dickens -- "the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness..."  (A Tale of Two Cities)

We all live there somewhere between the light and the dark and as I have progressively and more intently chosen the light over the darkness, Jesus' presence in the person of the Holy Spirit and I'm sure many, many angels have led me to the 'missions' which I have increasingly come to see as my learning to be 'Jesus with skin on' through words, writing and images.
